LOCAL / MUNICIPAL WORK

OAKLAND

  • Worked in partnership with Oakland to develop the country’s first Social Equity Program

  • Ran the first paid cannabis Workforce Development Program in the nation- made possible by Oakland's Social Equity funding and community support. Each participant in the program has been affected by the War on Drugs in their community.

SAN FRANCISCO

  • Worked in partnership with San Francisco to establish a social equity program

  • Worked in coalition with Hood Incubator, Beyond Equity, and OCEP to reduce taxes for small cannabis businesses and social equity businesses

STATE OF CALIFORNIA:

  • Worked in partnership with Senator Steven Bradford’s office to develop CA SB1294 –California’s Cannabis Equity Act of 2018

  • No Drug War v2 Rally & Press Conference for tax reform yields national media attention on California’s cannabis system

NATIONAL

  • Developed the Social Equity Impact Report to inform government leadership of the benefits of forming healthy social equity programs
